David Beckham will be carrying the Olympic torch to Britain!
He will be in Athens, Greece at the official handover ceremony.
Though he won't have to run back home to England, he'll be taking a flight with the torch back to the U.K.
Beckham was part of the delegation that helped London secure the Summer Games for 2012 and he's a super talented, super gorgeous athlete so of course he should carry the torch.
He will be one of 8,000 people that will carry the torch during a 70-day relay that will start in Cornwall, southern England, and reach the Shetland Islands, off Scotland's north coast.
We're starting to get really excited for the Olympics!

David Beckham has become such a courtside regular at the Los Angeles Lakers home games in the Staples Center that they wished him "Happy Birthday" on Tuesday.
During the same game the L.A. Galaxy star was featured kissing Victoria Beckham on the Kiss Cam, he was featured on the JumboTron in celebration of his 37th year on earth.
David was surprised by the personalized message from his favorite NBA team and smiled as he looked up at it. So cute!
That wasn't the only Lakers-related gift he got either! On Wednesday, his family gave him a framed authentic #32 Magic Johnson jersey!
